Two years ago, after moving to the UK with her British husband, Leona ended up in the BBC’s freelance pool, and, after some work experience on Jeremy Vine’s show, got her start on one of the BBC most famous radio shows.

Leona tells us what it’s like to work with Jane Garvey, how ticking a few diversity boxes as a journalist can work to your advantage and, of course, about the story she can’t forget.

If that’s not enough BBC Radio for you, try this interview with 6 Music Breakfast and Desert Island Discs presenter, Lauren Laverne.
