Hello, my name’s Suchandrika (Such-AND-drika and the ‘ch’ is soft, like in ‘choose’).
So, about me? The essentials:
I made the Black Mirror Cracked podcast – 150,000 listens in the first 5 months of 2018!
- I’m a media skills trainer
- I write across a variety of topics such as the arts, politics and technology for publications like New Statesman, gal-dem and The Outline
- I speak at conferences and events on journalism-related subjects, including diversity in journalism and how women are getting into radio
- In July, I spilled the secrets of starting a successful podcast at the News Rewired conference (here’s the audio); in August I was on an all-female podcast panel curated and moderated by Spotify at the KDD 2018 conference – we talked about how the audience finds its way to our podcasts; in September, I told the Next Radio conference how to grow a podcast audience.
